'Your' Family History Sites - Submit your site to us.

Do you have a family history site or know of someone who has one? Submit the site to us and we'll post it here. It's no good having a site without visitors, why not share ours? All we ask is a link back to this site in return. Please do not submit sites of an adult nature, as this is a 'Family Friendly Site'. Thank you. Link not working? Let me know

Mike Ackroyd - Nice site with family stories and Pics.

"Joshua is getting big, and is on the verge of crawling. Despite two new teeth, he's still a good natured kid. When Evan isn't tackle-hugging him, he and Evan get along pretty well. They like to have high-pitched squealing contests, much to the dismay of Terri and I."

One of our many Canadian cousins - What a wonderful site.

Kent Ackroyds Site - Another Branch of our Ackroyd Family. Father of Mike Above.
Chris & Carol Johnson - Johnson Ancestry

Carol is the driving force for this site, Chris is interested but frightened that if he shows too much interest...he may have to buy a new computer! Update...He bought one!

Johnson - Ashby; Lincoln; South Shields and Ilkeston, Derbyshire; Todd - Eccup; Adel; Follyfoot and surrounding areas. Cunningham - Henley-in-Arden, Warwicks' and  Co. Mayo.

Lindley Ancestry - John Lindley

 Ian and Andrea Foster (Australia)

FOSTER - TALBOT - HARVEY - MADSEN - RASMUSSEN - WINDROSS - LAWRENCE - WILSON

Searching for all Foster links in Lincolnshire (New Sleaford), Talbot links in Suffolk (Great Thurlow), Windros(s) in Yorkshire (Leeds Worsborough and Barnsley), Lawrence in Essex, Potters Bar and Huntingdonshire. These areas are generalised and not restricted specifically to them.

My Foster links take me back to William Foster b1754 (Lincolnshire). Surname variations such as Forestarius, Forrester, Forester & Forster  exist and are prominent in the early parts of this research.
His
son William Foster (b1790 Lincolnshire), married on 31 July 1821 (New Sleaford, Lincolnshire) to Sarah Tomblin (surname variations such as Tomlin, Tamlin, Tamblin abound).

The known children from the marriage of William Foster and Sarah Tomblin  are William (b1823), Thomas (b1826), John (b1829), Francis (b1834), Tomblin (b1836) and Sarah (b1838).
Family anecdotal history has two more daughters in this family but this is not as yet confirmed.

Richard Senior

Most of my research is based in the West Riding of Yorkshire, particularly Pontefract, Wakefield, Leeds and the towns within the triangle formed by those three. My paternal grandfather's family (SENIOR) originated in Leeds and my paternal grandmother's family (FROST) came from the Wakefield area. My mother's father (WILCOCK) was from Pontefract and was from a long line of Pontefract ancestors. My maternal grandmother's family (STRANGWARD) came from outside of Yorkshire, from the Huntingdon area, and this STRANGWARD family is one that my sister has researched extensively. Richards brilliant genealogy articles are well worth a read!
